What happens to commission when a sale is refunded or charged back?
The sale is marked refunded and the commission comes off the balance automatically. If you had already paid that commission out, we do not silently absorb it - a clawback adjustment is recorded against the affiliate so their next payout nets out correctly, with the original sale still visible in the audit trail. You can also set a refund hold period so commissions only become payable once your refund window has passed.
What happens if a webhook fails or arrives late?
Webhook events are processed idempotently, so a retry from the platform cannot double-count a sale or pay a commission twice. Late events are attributed on arrival using the stored click data rather than being dropped, and you can trigger a manual sync to reconcile a window where the connection was down.
How long does setup actually take, and what do you need from me?
Connecting the platform takes a few minutes: you authorise the integration or paste an API key, and we register the webhook for you. The part that takes longer is deciding your commission structure and cookie window. You do not need a developer, and you do not need to change your checkout.
Do affiliates have to sign up for anything to get paid?
Only if you want automatic bank transfers. Affiliates who connect a Stripe account once are paid automatically on your schedule. Affiliates who would rather not can still be tracked and calculated exactly the same way - you pay them however you already do (PayPal, Wise, bank transfer) and mark it paid, and we email you the list of who is owed what.
